Recently, Shanghai Little Antelope Software Co., Ltd. and Kunming Wucai Printing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wucai Printing") formally signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties will collaborate to build Wucai Printing's intelligent manufacturing EBC platform, empowering the high-quality development of Wucai Printing's packaging and printing business through digitalization.
As a benchmark enterprise in Yunnan's packaging industry, Wucai Printing has deep expertise in the packaging and printing sector, particularly accumulating substantial industry experience in two core businesses: tobacco packaging and pharmaceutical packaging. Printing for tobacco and pharmaceutical packaging not only demands extremely high precision in craftsmanship and stability in quality but also involves complex production process management, stringent quality traceability, and compliance control—precisely the key scenarios where digital transformation can deliver targeted impact.
Founded in June 2001 with registered capital of 30 million RMB, Kunming Wucai Printing Co., Ltd. is Based in Kunming Economic Development Zone, covering 28.1 mu (18,700 m²) with 17,100 m² building area. Specializes in paper packaging for over 20 years, equipped with advanced facilities and a CNAS-accredited lab. Invests over 5% of revenue in R&D, certified as a National High-Tech Enterprise and holder of multiple management system certifications. Guided by the spirit of "Unity, Integrity, Pragmatism," the company has supported two Hope Primary Schools and is a trusted supplier in the packaging industry.
In this collaboration, Little Antelope will develop a fully integrated digital management system tailored to the operational characteristics of Wucai Printing, directly addressing widespread industry challenges such as "lack of transparency in production progress, difficulties in quality traceability, and delayed KPI performance tracking."。
In the joint planning of both parties, "behavioral KPI management based on daily task completion" stands as the core objective and highlight of the project. Empowered by Little Antelope's EBC platform, Wucai Printing will achieve the following:
Upgrade existing information systems to develop exclusive smart manufacturing EBC platform capabilities; establish a workshop IoT platform leveraging Little Antelope’s DCS and PCS100 systems to facilitate the implementation of lean production; build a digitized foundation aligned with industrial-informational integration, supporting flexible expansion across all scenarios; utilize the EBC-MES system to connect the digital workshop, covering the entire production process and improving coordination efficiency; integrate third-party systems to form an EBC-centric unified architecture, laying a solid foundation for the smart factory.
Specifically, by incorporating production planning, machine task assignment, team shift reporting, and completion confirmation into a digital closed loop, the system enables real-time tracking of task progress, ensuring daily tasks are completed on the same day. This fundamentally transforms the traditional management pain points of delayed tracking and low efficiency. Through digital dashboards that dynamically display key metrics such as equipment status, production progress, and quality inspections, management gains real-time visibility into KPI performance, allowing for precise resource allocation and providing a robust mechanism to ensure "daily tasks, daily completion."
According to the plan, this project will establish a dual-driven digital architecture of "EBC Platform + Industrial IoT," focusing on the implementation of three core capabilities:
End-to-End Digital Control
By integrating core operations such as customer management, procurement, inventory, and finance through the EBC-ERP system and seamlessly linking with the EBC-MES system for production planning and execution, the entire process will be digitalized. For example, the full workflow of a cigarette packaging order—from receipt and review to scheduling, material collection, printing, and quality inspection—will be managed online. Each step will be synchronized in real time with the data platform, enabling instant data sharing.-
Equipment Connectivity and Data Integration
Utilizing Little Antelope’s workshop IoT technology, a dedicated Industrial IoT platform will be established to achieve real-time connectivity and data integration of core production equipment. Through production line control server clusters, key parameters such as equipment downtime/operational status, duration, and operating speed will be precisely collected. The platform will consolidate these decentralized data streams and present them via visual interfaces such as the digital workshop dashboard, offering a "single-screen view" of equipment status and work order progress. This provides real-time data support for production scheduling and resource optimization.。
Intelligent Decision-Making and Collaborative Operations
Leveraging the EBC-AI platform, the system will regularly push production data and exception alerts to relevant personnel via WeChat. Through the Little Antelope OA system and Enterprise WeChat, approval workflows will be customizable, and tasks will be scheduled for automated pushing, enabling more efficient management decisions and achieving "zero-delay" cross-departmental collaboration.
In this collaboration, Little Antelope will focus on "enhancing efficiency, lean production, and data-driven operations" to help Wucai Printing build end-to-end digital capabilities spanning from "manpower, machinery, materials, methods, environment" to "production, supply, sales, and finance." Moving forward, both parties will work together to implement the project, enabling digitalization to become a core competitive advantage for Wucai Printing and providing a replicable benchmark for digital transformation in the printing industry.
